| Share/Savings Accounts
Because you are a member of a Credit Union
- your savings are actually Shares in the membership. Opening
a basic Membership Account is all you need to join the Credit
Union. |
 |
| Membership Share Accounts allow you to
take full advantage of your Credit Union's services. Dividends
on this type of savings account is calculated on the average
daily balance for the period and paid quarterly. Rates increase
as your account balance increases. Minimum balance required is only
$25.00 |
 |
| Market Shares offer a higher rate of
savings and check access. Dividends are earned and paid monthly
according to current market conditions. There is a minimum
balance of $2,500 to open a Market Share Account at the Credit
Union. |
 |
| An IRA is a personal tax-deferred savings
and investment plan that allows you to set aside funds and
not pay income taxes on them until you retire and/or begin
withdrawal. Dividends are paid in the same manner as the Membership
Account. You need to start with a minimum balance of $500.00
to open an IRA account. |
 |
| Share Certificates (CDs) offer the highest
rate of return. With a Share Certificate you enjoy a fixed
interest rate for the term of the certificate and your interest
is compounded quarterly.
Choose the length of the Share Certificate term
- 6 month to 5 years with a minimum balance of $1,000. |
 |
