About Sun Country
Sun Country Credit Union was organized in 1977 to provide financial services at excellent rates to Del Webb Corporation's employees and family members. Later, regulations changed allowing expanded membership. The Sun Health Corporation and the Sun City West Homeowners' Association joined the ranks of Sun Country Credit Union.
Today over 50 employee groups make up our financial family, adding to our secure asset base and allowing us to further expand member services. Credit unions differ from traditional banks in that they are not-for-profit financial institutions that are owned completely by their members. In most cases, we are able to offer lower rates on loans, as well as higher dividends on savings.
Sun Country Credit Union is federally insured by the strongest of the Federal Insurance Funds. This further insures that your savings are safe and secure. At a Credit Union, savings accounts are called share accounts and our CDs share certificates because the dividends paid on them result from the benefits of your shared ownership in the credit union.
Membership also includes discounts on travel and merchandise from local and national vendors, through our Benefits Plus program.
Take a moment to compare our savings and loan rates. We're confident that you'll enjoy the financial, as well as personal, rewards of membership here at Sun Country Credit Union. Welcome to our family.
